I have two dreams for this final apocalyptic year: The first is to drop beats at as many beer throwin, shit showin, STD knowin HOR parties as I can. My sets at those are pretty much, “You like Maybach music? Great I like Maybach music. Here’s a ton of that. Everyone wins (especially if they can’t remember.) The other dichotomous dream is to continue pushing the ever loving shit out of my career as a mind warping, bass crunching, wonk…e…ing (I don’t know), future bass DJ. Fortunately this Friday will be another chance for me to pump the zygote of that species.

This Friday, at Backbar in DC, (Conveniently located in the sex dungeon of the 9:30 Club), R4NS0M and DENMAN (oh, hey, that’s me refering to myself in the third person) will be dropping the finest in future bass, grime, footwork, UK/Deep dubstep, and drum n bass (go MetalHeadz or go home), so roll the most Louisville slugger of a blunt your foodstamps can acquire (filled with totally legal tobacco of course), and come freak the fuck out to some dirty bass in space. Turnout has been damn good so far, and we’d love to keep the momentum going. Why not be a winner, and peep the facebook event?

This joint took me a good 4 days to recover so either I’m getting old fast or this shit was Bonkers. A million thank you’s to everyone who came out to eat, drink, and rage themselves retarded Sunday night in 20 degree weather. Just about everyone I saw there was some how connected to the H.O.R. family which is awesome and humbling at the same time. Thanks to 814ofcourse for making the ribs which lasted about 20 minutes and for good reason. Also shout out to POPS and SHINNY cameras for helping out with the mics and photos. Thanks to all the DJ’s who gave their Holiday Sunday to come out and wreck shop. Special thanks to Shawn at Ov3rkill Entertainment and Molly over at One Love Massive who helped promote this event with me. I was blown away at the fact we had an event on H St and had all of our own people there which allowed us to play the music like and throw the kind of party we want. Phase 2 of the H.O.R. weekend is going to be a SHOW at District Underground which has easily become my favorite spot in Adams Morgan and I can’t even think of a second place. Head of Rothchild contributor Taek1 from Las Vegas and myself will be holding it down all night. To sweeten the deal, Underground is having AN OPEN BAR FROM 10-11 so get there early and get sauced for the evening. Last time I spun there, I had a blast. The vibe is really sexy yet people still rage the fuck out as if it were a warehouse party. Very cool, no ego’s, bartenders are mad cool even teen karate sensation, Ben Lek will serve you drinks and make eye contact with you the entire time.

Just want to give a BIG THANK YOU to Shawn Lucas at Ov3rkill Entertainment and Ruben Cabral over at STFU INC. Go show them some love.

The Return of Moombacon Massive

January 15th, The Superbowl has come early this year. The Moombacon Massive was one of the funnest times I had last year sending Summer off properly with a grease orgy of swine and dancing. There was not one single fatality reported which is a success for an H.O.R. party. This time we’re doing the winter edition so we can use the FREE BACON, FREE FRIED CHICKEN, AND FREE RIBS as a tool to fatten us up for the cold 2 months ahead. Kind of like how a Walrus does before swimming down to Antarctica.

Glad to have our DC partners in Swine to jump aboard and help up us with the event that being One Love Massive and Ove3kill Entertainment. Please support our friends who make DC Douche Free. So to get you out of the house and into Rock & Roll Hotel we decided to up the ante. This time instead of 20 pounds of bacon, we are going with 30 POUNDS of BACON. We are also having a combination fried chicken from the Red Rooster and a special V.I.P. section (Very Important Popeyes) that we will be giving away leading up to the Massive. Our fam DJ 814ofCourse is going to be laying down his secret ribs recipe that destroyed it last time. Seriously, those joints lasted about 30 mins until they were gone. Fatback Time Travelers Ball New Years Eve DC

Not to say I told you so BUT HOR Years Eve at Rock & Hotel sold out on Tuesday and MAYBE they might have a few at the door but for the most part, y’all bamas missed out if you don’t have tickets. We still love you though which is why we got you covered. Our friends over at One Love Massive are throwing a party of their one and still have some availability left so if you hurry today you can still make it in.

One Love Massive and Smirnoff team up to bring you the Nation’s Capitol’s most notorious DJ troupe The Fatback DC DJs. One Love Massive, a premier entertainment solutions company here in the District, will host The Fatback Time Travelers Ball, a night of wonderment, imagination, fantasy, funk, soul and dancing!

The event takes place December 31st, 2011 at Slaviya 2424 18th Street NW in Adams Morgan. The event starts at 8pm and will go to a historical 4am. General Admission starts at $30 in advance and Bottle/Table Service is available for $500, tickets not included. Tickets are limited and can be purchased here.

Slaviya is located in the heart of Adams Morgan and proudly boasts a space that holds up to 350 people. Advance tickets offer a green initiative as well because One Love Massive ticketing plants a tree for every ticket sold and the service fees are the lowest in the city.

Fatback DJs are DCs best bet for the ultimate dance party. Noted for their style of music Fatback blows up the spot with vintage R&B, gritty soul, and “funky-yet-smooth disco that urges you to move your feet” kinda jams. Fatback parties always end late with the lights on and everyone still dancing.

The theme of the event is a costume party, aka A Time Travelers Ball where costumes and imagination are encouraged and rewarded but not mandatory. Grindstone Universal is sponsoring the costume contest with a hefty prize of $100 for best costume and $300 for best group costume. Imagination is the key element to this event. The theme of the party is “You can be anyone or anything you want to be.”
